This is a ryokan run by our family for over 50 years. I have inherited this ryokan from my aunt and uncle since they had no children. It was a very tough decision to inherit their business because the economy of our town was slowing down. Then, Tohoku Earthquake occurred on Mar 11th, 2011. Our town was wiped out by tsunami. After tsunami, I decided to take over this ryokan to keep our family business, memory, and legacy.
